Sara Lubratt has been writing since she was six years old. At that point, she was dictating her stories for her mom to transcribe before adding clip art and printing out the books for Sara to color in.

In middle and high school, she wrote in class when she was supposed to be paying attention. When the decision for college came around, Sara knew she wanted a degree in something creative and thus chose to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in English with a Creative Writing Specialization at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She studied abroad for a summer with New York University's Writers in Paris program. In college, Sara started posting about her writing journey on YouTube and Instagram to track her progress towards publishing and inspire others in their writing journeys.

In 2021, Sara moved to Utah to hike and feed her creativity in the mountains as she continued to write.​ Seven books later, she is beginning to publish with her debut action-adventure fantasy novella Ascent of the Ironborn out December 1st, 2026.
